- 350 g crushed tomato
- 3 garlic cloves
- 4 g ground cumin
- 45 ml neutral oil
- 6 g fine salt
Cooking method
Pan
- Cook rice and lentils
Cook rice and lentils in separate pots until tender, then drain and keep warm.
- Cook the pasta
Boil the pasta until just tender, then drain.
- Crisp the onions
Cook sliced onions in oil over medium heat until deep golden and crisp, then drain on paper.
- Make the tomato sauce
Cook garlic, tomato, cumin and salt until the sauce thickens and tastes concentrated.
- Assemble
Layer rice, lentils and pasta in bowls, spoon over tomato sauce and finish with crisp onions.
