  • 180 g brown lentils

  • 220 g onions, thinly sliced
  • 350 g crushed tomato
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 4 g ground cumin
  • 45 ml neutral oil
  • 6 g fine salt

Cooking method

Pan

  1. Cook rice and lentils

    Cook rice and lentils in separate pots until tender, then drain and keep warm.

  2. Cook the pasta

    Boil the pasta until just tender, then drain.

  3. Crisp the onions

    Cook sliced onions in oil over medium heat until deep golden and crisp, then drain on paper.

  4. Make the tomato sauce

    Cook garlic, tomato, cumin and salt until the sauce thickens and tastes concentrated.
