- 450 g cooked black beans
- 140 g onion, chopped
- 120 g green bell pepper, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 25 ml olive oil
- 3 g ground cumin
- 2 g dried oregano
- 780 ml water or plain vegetable broth
- 6 g fine salt
Cooking method
Pan
- Cook the base
Cook onion and pepper in olive oil until softened, then add garlic, cumin and oregano.
- Add beans and rice
Add black beans and rice, stir for 1 minute, then season with salt.
- Add liquid
Pour in water or plain vegetable broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Simmer
Cover and cook on low heat until rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
