Ingredients

  • 600 g firm tofu Contains soy.
  • 45 ml soy sauce Contains soy and gluten.
  • 30 ml sesame oil Contains sesame.
  • 25 g fresh ginger
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 15 g brown sugar
  • 15 ml rice vinegar
  • 30 g basil leaves
  • 20 ml neutral oil
  • 600 g cooked rice

Cooking method

Pan

  1. Brown tofu

    Pat tofu dry, cube it and brown it in neutral oil.

  2. Cook aromatics

    Add ginger and garlic and cook until fragrant.

  3. Glaze

    Add soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and vinegar.

  4. Reduce

    Cook until the sauce becomes glossy and coats the tofu.

  5. Finish

    Fold in basil and serve with rice.
